With over 30 years' experience they pride themselves on excellence in design, and quality built homes that people would truly love to live in. This determination to achieve excellence in home construction has been rewarded with them taking out the 2016 HIA Display Home of the Year Award with their new Display Home - The Soho.

About The Soho Award Winning Display Home

Originally designed as a joint venture alongside James Hardie with a vision to showcase a home that is more than 95% clad, the Soho has 1 feature face brick wall that runs externally to internally with two matching feature brick piers to the façade, the remainder of the home is lined with cladding, using a mix of James Hardie Scyon range.

The home features a skillion roofline detailing the contemporary design. This 312 square metre home has received tremendous feedback from the vast majority of visitors, consistent in regards to the effectiveness of the solar passive design and the overall warm, light and liveable feeling our visitors get when they enter the home.

When we were deciding on our design brief for this home, we wanted it to tick many boxes; it had to be open plan, well orientated as well as private. We envisaged a home with all the main living zones accessible to the alfresco areas and most importantly to be upmarket and high quality in all its finishings.

With its raked ceilings, impressive foyer and expanse of solid black butt timber flooring, this home radiates luxury and appeals to everyone who enters. Due to the lay of the land, the design is inclusive of 3 low incline steps, dividing the living zones and adding interest to the ceiling heights. Being a north to side block, we designed a 2 level outdoor entertaining area, consistent with the lay of the land to achieve optimum privacy and offer a resort like feel.

The home is warm and sunny and the smart use of louvres capture all the breezes, but the really impressive double sided Lopi fireplace that is viewed from both levels is one of the things most people comment on.

The custom designed Viison kitchen is streamlined and modern, finished in 2 Pac with handless doors. The kitchen zone is complete with a walk in pantry and adjacent study nook, it all ties into the space with the use of Neolith, a premium porcelain cladding and bench-top product also used to clad the fireplace. The overall effect is show stopping.

The home gives a nod to an industrial finish in its selections and the Velux sky lights installed in the kitchen and alfresco areas contribute to the utilisation of natural lighting.

Always high on our clients wish lists is an abundance of storage options, large practical laundry’s and a media room, and this home doesn’t disappoint.

A large family bathroom with large format porcelain tiles to the ceiling and a separate toilet with hand basin. The impressive open plan master suite includes a large ensuite, separate toilet and spacious walk in robe complete with a customised joinery bank of drawers. In addition, the suite offers access to the covered alfresco area which has received wide spread design applause from our visitors.

We believe that tailoring the design to suit the lay of the land has significantly contributed to the widespread success of the home and the positive feedback from visitors, we feel this home actively portrays our companies design flexibility and the importance of correctly working the site.

The quality and the attention to detail is consistent with that of our daily operations and is a true representation of our company’s product.
